Recruiter Terms and Code of Conduct
The rules for approved recruiters on MoonBaas during the closed beta. (Draft version 2026-09-30)
DRAFT — not final legal text
This document is a working draft for the closed beta. It is not legal advice and creates no legal protections beyond what is described here. It requires professional legal review before any broad public or commercial launch.
1. Who these terms are for
These terms apply to approved recruiters — individuals hand-provisioned by the MoonBaas admin team during the closed beta. There is no self-serve recruiter signup; if you have not been approved and provisioned, you are not a recruiter on this platform.
By using the recruiter workspace you accept these terms, the Terms of Use, and the Privacy Policy.
2. What you may do
- Request relationships with candidates and, once accepted, exchange plain-text work-context messages with them in the app.
- Present candidates to opportunities you represent, through the platform’s review flow.
- Schedule follow-ups and track your pipeline in the recruiter workspace.
- Message candidates within your daily human-message cap (a server-side limit, currently 50 per day). System and operational messages don’t count against it.
3. Consent is mandatory
“Interested” is not consent. Every employer introduction requires the candidate’s explicit, per-introduction consent naming the employer, the opportunity, and exactly what is shared. Consent expires after 30 days and can be revoked by the candidate any time before the introduction is transmitted. You may not present, submit, or represent a candidate without that consent.
4. Contact information is masked
Candidate contact details are masked by default. You must not attempt to obtain, infer, or solicit a candidate’s contact details outside the platform’s consent process — no asking for phone numbers or emails in messages, no fishing through other channels.
5. Code of conduct
- Be truthful about opportunities: real roles, real pay ranges, real employers. No bait-and-switch.
- Be respectful. No harassment, no pressure tactics, no discrimination of any kind.
- Stay in work context. Messages are for job search, not personal conversation.
- Respect capacity: don’t spam, blast, or game the message quota.
- Keep candidate information confidential. Don’t share, sell, or export candidate data outside the platform.
- Don’t scrape listings, profiles, or the service.
- Disclose conflicts honestly — if two recruiters are pursuing the same candidate, the platform’s collision rules decide who may present.
6. Data use
- Use candidate data only for its work purpose: matching, presenting, and messaging about real opportunities.
- Do not add candidates to external mailing lists, CRMs, or marketing funnels.
- When your engagement ends, stop using candidate data you accessed through the platform.
7. Enforcement
Administrators can suspend or revoke recruiter access at any time, including for violations of these terms or the code of conduct. We will try to be fair and proportionate, but platform safety and candidate trust come first. The specifics of any formal remedy process are to be determined with legal counsel before broad launch.
