Terms of Use
The rules for using MoonBaas during the closed beta. (Draft version 2026-09-30)
DRAFT — not final legal text
This document is a working draft for the closed beta. It is not legal advice and creates no legal protections beyond what is described here. It requires professional legal review before any broad public or commercial launch.
1. The service
MoonBaas (“The Work Network”) is a job-matching platform currently in closed beta. It matches candidates with opportunities (both external listings and direct-employer roles), explains why each match fits, and — with your consent — can introduce you to employers or connect you with approved recruiters.
The beta is invitation-based and limited (roughly 10–25 candidates, a small number of approved recruiters). Features may change, break, or disappear without notice during the beta.
2. What MoonBaas is not
- We are not a staffing agency, an employer, or a recruiter. Listing a job is not a job offer, and a match is not a guarantee of an interview.
- We do not guarantee interviews, offers, pay, or any outcome. We cannot control employer decisions.
- For external listings, you apply on the employer’s own site — their terms and process apply there, not ours.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your sign-in details private. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person. Accounts are for your own job search — not for recruiters, employers, or anyone else to operate on your behalf.
- Tell us at hello@moonbaas.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
4. How introductions work
Tapping “interested” on a match is not consent to be introduced. Before anything about you goes to an employer, we show you exactly what would be shared — the employer, the opportunity, the résumé version, and your contact details — and you consent explicitly, per introduction. That consent expires after 30 days and can be revoked any time before the introduction is transmitted.
Recruiters can message you in the app only after a relationship is accepted. Your contact details stay masked until you consent to an introduction.
5. Acceptable use
- Give truthful profile and résumé information.
- Don’t harass, threaten, or discriminate against recruiters, employers, or other users.
- Don’t scrape, copy, or resell job listings, candidate data, or the service itself.
- Don’t upload malware, spam, or anyone else’s personal information.
- Don’t try to circumvent access controls, quotas, or the consent process.
Approved recruiters are additionally bound by the Recruiter Terms and Code of Conduct.
6. Emails
By creating an account you agree to receive transactional email (verification, security notices) and, unless you turn them off in Settings, match alerts. Account and security emails can’t be turned off. There is no marketing email in the beta.
7. Beta service level
The beta is provided “as is.” We aim for reliability but make no promises about uptime, data preservation, or feature availability. We may pause or end the beta, and we may suspend accounts that violate these terms or threaten the service. We’ll try to give notice when we can.
We take backups, but you should keep your own copy of anything important (like your résumé) outside the service.
8. Liability
This section needs a lawyer before broad launch. For the beta: our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and we are not responsible for employer decisions, job outcomes, or the content of third-party job listings. The exact scope of this limitation (caps, arbitration, governing law) must be set by legal counsel — it is flagged in our internal legal review notes and is not settled by this draft.
9. Ending your account
You can delete your account and data yourself from Settings — it’s immediate and permanent once you confirm, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or remove accounts for violations of these terms.
10. Changes and acceptance
We may update these draft terms during the beta. We record the time and version when you accept them, and we’ll ask you to accept again if they change materially. Continuing to use the service after a change is acceptance of the new terms.
11. Governing law
To be determined with legal counsel before broad public or commercial launch — see the legal review notes.
